"The Stone Age did not end because we ran out of stones.
We transitioned to better solutions."
Our Story.
In 1992 founder Dan Jensen wanted to invent a block to build his own house with here in South Jordan, Utah. After researching all the options there weren't any that impressed him. That's when the idea of a polyurethane block came to mind. He then came up with the mold and the formula and designed his first block. Then 15 years later he wanted to design a new and improved block, that's when ThermaBlocks was made. Then just Two years ago Dan wanted to take the company even further so that's when he teamed up with some successful, driven and hardworking men who can take the company to the next level. So now with a better formula and a higher R value, with a block that now comes in two sizes and a team that is ready to take ThermaBlocks to be a worldwide company. ThermaBlocks is back and better then ever.

Why ThermaBlocks?
ThermaBlocks is a polyurethane insulating concrete form (ICF) system on the market that offers high R-values at competitive prices. Most other ICFs on the market are made of polystyrene which is costly to manufacture and install.
ThermaBlocks walls are created by stacking the interlocking blocks, laying in rebar and filling them with concrete. ThermaBlocks's unique design creates a post and beam wall resulting in a wall that is much stronger than traditional framed walls.
What is ThermaBlocks?
ThermaBlocks are a rigid polyurethane foam Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) building block system. They are dry stacked and filled with reinforced concrete. ThermaBlocks form concrete walls and foundations for homes and buildings and then remain in place as the insulation afterwards.
The finished homes and buildings look the same as typical construction as they use the same interiors and exteriors
ThermaBlocks vs. Polystyrene Block.
One of our main questions we get asked is whats the difference between your block and a polystyrene block or people ask aren't you just a polystyrene block? Polystyrene Is a very flammable block, very costly to install and time consuming and labor intensive. It also sets off an off gas that is bad for our health and also the environment. Polystyrene block only gives an R-Value of 25, so for all that extra cost and labor your not really going to save anything on utilities, your house will be very flammable and you can pay up to $5,000 more just to build your home and that is not including the extra labor cost. Polyurethane is non flammable, will not sustain a flame or melt like polystyrene. We do not produce an off gas, and we are considered the green way to build. The R-Value for our block is 37.5. Plus no extra labor cost, you could have your home up quicker and already have your installation completed without spending a large amount of money.
